Terms and Conditions

By creating an account for Farside Worlds, you agree to the following terms:

1. Eligibility. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
2. Account responsibility. You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Do not share your login credentials with anyone. You may not sell, transfer, trade, or give away your account.
3. Prohibited conduct. You may not: exploit bugs or glitches; use bots, macros, or automation tools; cheat, hack, or modify the game client; harass, threaten, or abuse other players; impersonate staff or other players; engage in real-money trading of in-game items, characters, or currency; or use the game for any illegal purpose.
4. Chat monitoring. All in-game chat messages (including local, world, and private messages) are logged and stored. Chat logs may be reviewed by game staff to investigate reports, enforce rules, and maintain a safe community. By using in-game chat, you consent to this monitoring and logging.
5. Data collection. We collect and store the information you provide at registration (username, email address, and a hashed version of your password), your in-game chat messages, and gameplay data associated with your account. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your data is used solely to operate and improve the game.
6. Account actions. We may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, disrupt the game or community, or are involved in fraudulent activity, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
7. Live service. This is an online live-service game in active development. Features, game balance, world state, content, and availability may change at any time without notice.
8. Service availability. Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, outages, or unforeseen issues. Uptime is not guaranteed. We are not liable for any loss of progress or data due to service interruptions.
9. Virtual items and progress. All virtual items, characters, currency, and progress are part of the service and remain the property of Farside Worlds. They have no real-world monetary value and may be changed, removed, rolled back, or reset at any time.
10. Intellectual property. All game content, including but not limited to artwork, code, music, text, and game design, is the property of Farside Worlds and its creators. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any game content without written permission.
11. Player conduct and content. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other players and any content you share, including character names and chat messages. Content that is offensive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate may result in account action.
12. No warranty. To the extent allowed by law, the game is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including warranties of uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.
13. Limitation of liability. To the extent allowed by law, Farside Worlds and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, progress, or enjoyment.
14. Changes to terms. We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated through the game or website.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not register or use the service.
